Portal ettiquette

It seems that I've been labouring under a misapprehension for the last  4+ years of playing a mage. No sooner had I logged to do some guild admin after a week than I was chastized for not playing taxi for someone:

Muppet: Can Portal Me?

How (not) to ask for a portalMuppet Invites you to a group

<You decline the group invite>

Muppet: 10G

Muppet Invites you to a group

<You decline the group invite>

Muppet: Fucking noob.

me: Stop inviting me to groups while I'm busy doing something else you muppet.

<You are ignoring Muppet>

Now, I'm perfectly happy to help people out if they're polite and let me finish what I'm doing. On occasion I'll even whisper someone back to the effect of "if you can wait 5-10 mins I can help, but busy right now".  However, when someone is a rude idiot - I particularly like the whisper-invite combo this chap demonstrated - welcome to ignore. I was actually in two minds about posting this, but last night in Ironforge I happened to see the self-same Muppet spamming trade for guess what ...

I guess some people never learn.
