Interesting times

So, a dearth of posts. Sorry, life has been a tad manic (my father has been in hospital) so wow playing has been somewhat curtailed of late. I've been on the odd raid (including an Aran/Prince takedown last week and a beating up of Hoofie yesterday) and done a few battlegrounds (but no winner's medalion yet, victories Alliance-side being few and far between in Ruin BG). In the Beta, my doppleganger Lorelai (the name Andromache was already taken) has been exploring and has generally enjoyed the starting zones for Northrend. I've also dabbled in Death Knightage, which is interesting (though there are some bugs to be ironed out.)

However, this is all overshadowed by some on-going guild drama that focuses on raid membership. As a guild we'd been discussing this (particularly with making sure people were up to late Kara/ZA) but things spiralled out of control yesterday evening and this morning, leading to a couple of people quitting the guild and heated words between a number of those who remain. On one hand, the comments really got my back up, but on the other I can see where some of them come from; some people felt left out and wanted to play with their friends. However, rather than say this and allow the guild to fix the issue, a divisive fait-accomplit was presented to the guild that caused serious ructions. The parties have argued themselves silly and a somewhat tense silence reigns on the guild mailing list presently while, hopefully, people take the opportunity to calm down.

Oh, did I mention I have a splitting headache at the moment ...
